Ceylon Fish Fried Seer Fish is thora karawala baduma, dried seer fish fried with chilli, curry leaves, rampe and onion. Seer, also known as king fish or arukkula in Tamil, is a favourite for curries and fries across Sri Lanka and South India, and this jar keeps the pieces firm, salty and well coated in chilli. How to use it
Put out a small dish of it with rice, parippu and a coconut gravy, or with kiribath and lunu miris for breakfast. It also works as a filling for a roti wrap with sliced onion and a little lime. Warm it gently in a pan if you want it crisp. Use a dry spoon, keep the jar chilled after opening and finish within seven days.
