CBL Lanka Soy Kiri Malu Flavoured is soya nuggets with a seasoning for kiri malu, the mild, pale yellow Sri Lankan fish curry simmered in coconut milk. The sachet holds a fish flavour with pepper, mustard, turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, fenugreek and fennel, and the coconut milk you add makes the gravy. The fish taste comes from flavouring, with no fish in the ingredient list. Find more ready flavoured soya in our Flavoured Soya Meat range.
How to use it
Soak the nuggets in salted hot water for 5 minutes, strain, wash with cold water and squeeze thoroughly. Mix 2 cups (400ml) of coconut milk, the nuggets and the flavour mix in a saucepan. Add rampe, curry leaves, onions, green chillies and tomatoes, and stir continuously until it comes to the boil, then cook at a low flame until the gravy is creamy. Serve with rice, string hoppers or bread.
