CBL Lanka Soy Devilled Cuttlefish Flavoured is soya cut into rings that look like sliced cuttlefish, with a devilled cuttlefish flavour mix and a chilli paste of palm olein, tomato sauce, dried sprats, dried shrimp and garlic. It cooks into the hot, sweet and sour devilled seafood dish of Sri Lankan menus, here built on soya. The paste contains fish and shrimp, so it is not vegetarian. How to use it
Soak the soya rings in salted hot water for 5 minutes, strain and squeeze the water out thoroughly. Heat oil and temper rampe, curry leaves, crushed ginger and garlic, then add the soaked rings and saute well. Stir in the flavour mix, the chilli paste, 2 teaspoons of sugar and a cup (200ml) of water, and cook until the sauce thickens. Finish with onions, capsicums and tomatoes for a few minutes and serve hot.
