CBL Lanka Soy Chicken Flavour is a pack of defatted textured soya nuggets with a chicken flavoured curry mix sachet, the Sri Lankan soya meat that cooks into a spicy, meaty curry in about 15 minutes. The nuggets are made from defatted soya flour and give 50.2g of protein per 100g dry, and the sachet brings curry powder, salt and chicken flavour. How to use it
Soak the nuggets in salted hot water, strain away the excess, wash with cold water and squeeze them out well. Mix in the flavour sachet and leave it to marinate for a few minutes. Heat 9ml of oil, temper ground ginger and garlic with onions and green chillies, add the marinated nuggets and fry for 3 minutes. Add a cup of water or chopped tomatoes and simmer for 3 minutes more, then serve with rice, roti or string hoppers.
