Bodrum Pomegranate Syrup is a dark, glossy pomegranate sauce in the style Turkish kitchens call nar ekşili sos, sour and fruity with a rounded sweetness. It is made with pomegranate syrup, glucose, citric acid for a clean sharp edge and natural pomegranate aroma, and bottled in Turkey for Bodrum. A few drops lift a salad, a marinade or a plate of grilled vegetables, and the 500ml bottle with a flip cap makes it easy to pour just what you need. How to use it
Whisk a spoonful with olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt for a dressing over shepherd's salad, fattoush or a simple tomato and onion salad. Brush it over chicken, lamb or halloumi before grilling, or stir it into a marinade with garlic, cumin and chilli flakes. It is the sour note in muhammara and in bulgur dishes such as kısır, and a drizzle over roasted aubergine, cauliflower or a bowl of hummus adds colour and tang. Taste as you go, as the flavour is concentrated.
