Ashoka Bhindi Cut is fresh okra, cleaned, cut and individually quick frozen, so the pieces stay separate and you can pour out exactly what you need. Ashoka, from ADF Foods of Gujarat, packs it while fresh with no added preservatives, which saves the slow work of washing, drying and chopping bhindi before every curry. How to use it
The pack says to thaw the bhindi by leaving it out briefly or placing the pack in a dish of water for a few minutes, and not to refreeze it once thawed. Do not eat it raw. Pat the pieces dry, then stir-fry with onion, tomato and spices for bhindi masala or bhindi do pyaza, or fry until crisp for kurkuri bhindi. It also works in okra curry, sambar and vegetable stews.
