Annaluxmy Andhra Sona Masoori Rice is a medium grain white rice of the type grown widely in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Sona masoori is a lightweight, mildly aromatic grain that cooks soft with grains that stay apart, which is why it is the favourite everyday rice in so many South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil homes. This bag holds around 222 servings of 45g, with a rope handle for carrying.
How to use it
Wash and soak the rice for 20 to 30 minutes, then add 1 and a half times water. Boil in a heavy based pan, cover and cook on a low heat for 10 minutes, then turn off the heat and leave covered for 5 minutes.
