Africa's Finest Plantain Fufu is a dough ball mix of plantain, cassava and potato granules, milled to a fine powder that cooks into smooth fufu in a few minutes. Green plantain gives the dough a light colour and a mild, faintly sweet taste, and cassava gives it the soft stretch that lets each ball be pinched and dipped. It is the quick way to the swallow served with soups and stews in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon and beyond, with no boiling and pounding of whole plantain. How to use it
The pack uses 3/4 cup of water to every 1/2 cup of fufu. Put the water in a medium pan and add the fufu a little at a time, stirring until it reaches the thickness you like. Warm over a medium heat, stirring all the time, for 4 to 5 minutes until rich and smooth and heated right through, then mould the mixture into balls and serve hot. It goes well with light soup, groundnut soup, okra, egusi and ogbono, and some cooks mix it half and half with cocoyam fufu.
