Miele Ambrosoli is the Italian honey house founded in 1923, still packing at its own works in Uggiate con Ronago near Como. This jar is their miscela di miele di fiori, a blend of flower honeys from inside and outside the EU, including Argentine honey. It is a clear, golden, runny honey with a mild floral flavour, sealed under the gold honeycomb lid with Ambrosoli's green guarantee strip. The 250g glass jar suits a small household or a gift basket.
How to use it
Spread it on toast, stir it into warm milk or tea, or drizzle it over yoghurt and fruit. For Navratri fasting, mix a spoonful into a bowl of curd with chopped banana and pomegranate, or use it to sweeten a makhana kheer or a dry fruit ladoo mix. Honey browns quickly, so in baking lower the oven by about 20°C.
