Rowse Organic Set Honey comes from the Oxfordshire honey company Tony Rowse started in 1938. It is a blend of organic honeys from more than one country outside the EU, certified by the Soil Association and packed in the UK. Set honey has been gently crystallised so it is thick, pale and creamy, and it spreads like butter without running off the knife. The jar carries a 2023 Great Taste star.
How to use it
Spread it straight from the jar onto warm toast, crumpets or a buttered paratha. Because it holds its shape, it is easy to measure by the spoonful into porridge, yoghurt or a glass of warm haldi doodh. In festive baking, beat a spoonful into the butter for honey cake, or stir it into warm milk with saffron and cardamom for a sweet drink after the evening aarti. If you want it runny, stand the jar in warm water for a few minutes.
