Heera Alphonso Mango Slices are tender pieces of Alphonso mango packed in a light sugar syrup. Alphonso is the variety prized for its deep yellow flesh and rich, perfumed sweetness, and these slices keep their shape so you can serve real pieces of mango long after the fresh season ends. The 850g ring-pull tin holds 425g of fruit once drained.
How to use it
Chill the tin, drain the slices and serve them with ice cream, kulfi or fresh cream for an instant dessert. Layer the slices with custard, sponge and cream for a mango trifle, or dice them into fruit chaat and fruit custard for Navratri evenings. The syrup is good stirred into lassi or milkshakes, and chopped slices make a bright topping for shrikhand, phirni and cheesecake at Diwali gatherings.
