Heera Alphonso Mango Pulp is sweetened pulp made from Alphonso mangoes, the saffron-coloured variety loved for its rich, honeyed flavour and smooth, fibre-free flesh. The tin is 92% mango, with sugar syrup and citric acid, so the pulp is ready to pour straight into desserts and drinks. The 850g ring-pull tin brings a taste of mango season to any time of year.
How to use it
Blend a cup of pulp with yoghurt, milk, a little sugar and ice for mango lassi. Fold it into hung curd with cardamom to make aamras-style shrikhand, a favourite for festive lunches, or serve it chilled as aamras with hot puris. Mango pulp also makes quick kulfi, mango phirni and mousse, and it is a popular base for mango burfi and kalakand when Diwali sweets are being made at home.
