Fudco Red Peanuts in the 300g bag are raw, red-skinned peanuts from China, packed in the UK. It is a good size for a weekly shop: enough for a jar of chutney, a tray of masala peanuts or a pan of sabudana khichdi without leaving an open bag in the cupboard for months.
How to use it
Dry roast the peanuts on a low heat for eight to ten minutes until they crackle. For Navratri, crush them coarsely and stir into sabudana khichdi with green chilli, cumin, potato and rock salt, or add them to vrat aloo. For a tea-time snack, toss warm roasted peanuts with a little ghee, chilli powder and chaat masala. Ground roasted peanuts also thicken and enrich curries and salan.
