Fudco Green Raisins are long, slender green kishmish from China, packed in a protective atmosphere in a 250g bag. Green raisins are firmer and slightly tangier than golden sultanas, and they are the raisin many Indian families prefer for sweets and rice dishes. The 250g bag is a good size for everyday cooking and snacking.
How to use it
Fry the raisins in a little hot ghee until they swell, then add them with cashews to sheera, suji halwa, kheer and festive pulao. On Navratri fasting days, stir them into sabudana kheer or makhana kheer, or mix them with roasted makhana and nuts for a vrat snack, as many families do. They also make a simple dry fruit bowl with almonds and dates for guests at Diwali.
