Tropical Sun Instant Full Cream Milk Powder is dried whole milk with added vitamins A and D3, made to dissolve quickly in cold water. The fat content is not less than 28%, so it gives the rich, creamy body that Indian sweets and milky chai need. This 400g tin has a resealable plastic lid and is a handy size for festive cooking or for keeping milk in the cupboard.
How to use it
For a glass of milk, stir three heaped tablespoons (about 32.5g) into 225ml of cold water to make 250ml with 3.5% milk fat. For Diwali barfi, cook 250g of milk powder with 100g of ghee, 120ml of milk and sugar to taste over a low flame, stirring until the mix leaves the sides of the pan, then set in a greased tray. A spoonful also thickens kheer, rabri and Navratri vrat milk sweets in minutes.
