Tropical Sun Instant Full Cream Milk Powder is dried whole milk with at least 28% fat, enriched with vitamins A and D3 and treated with soya lecithin so it dissolves quickly in cold water. It gives creamy milk on demand and keeps for months in the cupboard. This 2.5kg resealable tin holds 76 portions of 250ml and is distributed by Specialist Foods in London.
How to use it
To make a glass of milk, add three heaped tablespoons (about 32.5g) to 225ml of cold water and stir well for 250ml at 3.5% milk fat. For Diwali mithai, the powder is the base of quick milk peda, gulab jamun dough, kalakand and milk powder barfi, and a few spoonfuls thicken kheer, rabri and kulfi without hours of reducing. It also makes rich masala chai and coffee, and works in cakes and breads in place of fresh milk. Keep the lid on tight in a cool, dark cupboard.
