Luck Nature Export Ceylon White Pepper is whole white pepper from the Galle district of Sri Lanka. White pepper is the same berry as black pepper with the dark outer skin removed, which leaves a smooth, cream-coloured peppercorn with an earthy, slightly sharper heat. The box has a window so you can see the peppercorns, and the pack states no artificial colours or ingredients.
How to use it
Grind it fresh into dishes where black specks would show: white sauces, mashed potato, creamy soups, korma, malai kofta and paneer makhani. It is also the classic pepper for Chinese-style hot and sour soup, fried rice and noodles. In vrat cooking, a pinch of ground white pepper seasons sabudana kheer, potato and yoghurt dishes and makhana roasted in ghee. Keep the peppercorns whole until needed for the best aroma.
