Luck Nature Export Ceylon Black Pepper is whole black pepper grown and packed in the Galle district of southern Sri Lanka. Ceylon pepper is known for a sharp, clean heat with plenty of aroma, and the window in the box shows the dark, wrinkled peppercorns inside. The pack states no artificial colours or ingredients.

      How to use it

Grind the peppercorns fresh in a mill or crush them in a mortar just before cooking, as whole pepper keeps its aroma far longer than ground. Toast a teaspoon in coconut oil for Sri Lankan black pepper chicken or pepper prawns, add whole peppercorns to biryani, pulao and kashayam, or crush them coarsely for rasam. Black pepper is also a common choice for Navratri vrat cooking, where it brings heat to sabudana khichdi and samak rice.
