Inndu Sri Sherbet Syrup is a bright red rose syrup from Sri Lanka, sweet and floral with a hint of vanilla. It is the bottle behind rose milk, falooda and the pink sherbet served at weddings and festivals, and one 750ml bottle makes around 18 glasses when diluted.
How to use it
Shake well and mix one part syrup with four parts chilled water for a simple sherbet, or stir two tablespoons into a glass of cold milk for rose milk. For falooda, layer soaked sabja seeds, cooked vermicelli and a drizzle of syrup, top with cold milk and finish with a scoop of kulfi or vanilla ice cream. A spoonful over rice kheer or shrikhand makes an easy Diwali dessert look festive. Keep the bottle in the fridge once opened.
