Annam Sago Small 300g

Annam Sago Small is fine sabudana made from tapioca flour and water, a produce of India packed for Transfood International. Small pearls soak quickly and cook evenly, which makes them the easiest size for sabudana khichdi, vada and kheer. Sago is one of the main foods eaten during Navratri vrat, Ekadashi and other fasting days, and this 300g pack is handy for a few meals.

How to use it

Rinse the pearls two or three times until the water runs clearer, then soak in just enough water to cover for four to six hours, until each pearl presses flat between your fingers. For vrat khichdi, warm ghee with cumin seeds and green chilli, add cubed boiled potato and the drained sago, then stir in coarsely ground roasted peanuts, rock salt and a squeeze of lemon. Cook gently until the pearls turn translucent. For sabudana kheer, simmer soaked pearls in milk with sugar and cardamom.
