Uthra Almonds are whole, skin-on Californian almonds, marked on the pack as premium hand-picked quality and a product of the USA. They are packed in India by Durga Agro Foods and imported into the UK by Asian Traders. The 100g pouch is an easy size for a week of snacking or for one batch of festive sweets.
How to use it
For a daily handful, soak eight to ten almonds in water overnight, peel and eat in the morning. Slice or sliver them to finish kheer, sheera, gajar halwa and sevaiyan, or toast them in ghee and stir into pulao. For Navratri fasting, almonds go into makhana kheer, dry fruit ladoo and vrat-friendly badam milk with saffron and cardamom. Grind blanched almonds into a paste for badam halwa or to enrich a korma for Diwali.
