TRS Black Pepper Coarse is black pepper ground to a crunchy, cracked texture, here in a 1kg catering bag for busy kitchens and families who cook in quantity. TRS describe it as a more coarsely ground version of their black pepper powder, used where a hot and crunchy texture is needed, such as meat rubs and marinades. It is packed in India.
How to use it
Mix with salt, crushed garlic, lemon juice and oil for a quick marinade, coat chicken, lamb or paneer and leave for an hour before grilling. For festive gatherings it seasons large pots of pepper chicken, rasam and mutton fry. On Navratri fasting days, use it with sendha namak and cumin in sabudana khichdi, vrat aloo and samo rice. Decant a few weeks of pepper into a small jar and keep the bag sealed so the rest stays aromatic.
