Nestlé Nido Instant Full Cream Milk Powder is dried whole milk with not less than 26% fat and a touch of soya lecithin to help it dissolve. Made in the Netherlands, Nido has been a household name for decades across Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, and its creamy flavour makes it a favourite for milky tea and desserts. The 900g tin is the everyday family size, with about 25 portions.
How to use it
Mix 35g (three tablespoons) with 225ml of water for a 250ml glass, or 140g with 900ml for a litre of milk. For festive sweets, make a fast milk powder barfi by cooking Nido with ghee, a little milk and sugar until it thickens, then set it with chopped pistachios on top. It also enriches kheer, rabri and basundi, and gives a fuller chai.
