Nestlé Nido Instant Full Cream Milk Powder is dried whole milk with at least 26% fat, made in the Netherlands and packed in a protective atmosphere. Nido is one of the best-known milk powders in African, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and South Asian homes, valued for a creamy taste that mixes without lumps. This 2.5kg tin is the bulk size for large families and for cooks who use milk powder in sweets and baking.
How to use it
Stir 35g (three tablespoons) into 225ml of water for a 250ml glass of milk, or 140g into 900ml for a litre. For Diwali, cook Nido with ghee, milk and sugar until it leaves the pan to make quick kalakand-style barfi or milk powder peda, or add a few spoonfuls to gulab jamun dough, kheer and rasmalai milk for extra body. It also makes good chai and hot chocolate.
