Laziza Gajar Kheer Mix is a carrot rice pudding mix made with real dehydrated carrot, rice, sugar and cardamom. It cooks into a pale orange kheer with the sweet, comforting flavour of gajar halwa in a lighter, spoonable form. The 150g box is made by Laziza in Karachi.
How to use it
Bring one litre of milk almost to the boil, then add the whole sachet while stirring. Cook on a medium flame for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring at intervals, until the kheer is very thick. Pour into bowls, cool and chill, then serve cold. For a festive finish, scatter over chopped almonds, pistachios and a few raisins fried in ghee, or serve a small bowl alongside puris and sabzi on a Diwali thali.
