GRB is the ghee South Indian kitchens reach for, and the litre jar is the size for a house that cooks with it every day. It is granular, strongly aromatic, and made from cow's milk fat, so it behaves the way ghee should: it browns, it perfumes, and it does not burn at the heat a tarka needs.
How to use it
A spoonful takes the cumin, garlic and dried chilli for a dal. It goes onto rice with podi, into halwa, ladoo and sheera, over pongal, and onto parathas straight off the tawa.
The GRB Pure Ghee 200ml is there if you use it rarely. Both are in butter and cow ghee, within oils and ghee.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep in an airtight container.
