Fudco Supreme Almonds are whole, skin-on almonds grown in the USA and packed in a protective atmosphere to keep them fresh and crunchy. The single ingredient is almonds, nothing added, so they work as a plain snack and as a base for the sweets and dishes that fill the kitchen around Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali. The 100g bag is a handy size for a week of snacking or one batch of baking.
How to use it
For badam milk, soak a handful of almonds overnight, slip off the skins, grind with a little warm milk and stir into hot milk with sugar, cardamom and a few strands of saffron. Slivered almonds finish kheer, sheera and halwa, and toasted almonds go into dry fruit laddoos with dates and figs. On fasting days many families eat a few soaked almonds in the morning, since plain nuts sit well with most vrat rules.
