Fudco Pistachio Kernels in the 75g bag are shelled, unsalted pistachios from Iran, a small pack for anyone who only needs a garnish. A spoonful of green slivers is what finishes most Indian desserts, and this size keeps a fresh supply in the cupboard without a large bag going stale.
How to use it
Slice or chop the kernels and scatter over kheer, sheera, gajar halwa or a bowl of shrikhand just before serving. For brighter colour, soak in hot water for ten minutes and rub away the skins first. During Navratri, pistachios are a common topping for sabudana kheer and makhana kheer, and at Diwali they are pressed onto barfi and laddoo. A pinch also lifts saffron rice and kulfi.
