Fudco Full Cream Milk Powder is full cream dried milk in a 750g bag, packed for Fudco. It dissolves into warm water for milk on demand, but in most Indian kitchens it is bought for sweets: milk powder stands in for khoya in barfi, peda, kalakand and gulab jamun, cutting hours of reducing milk down to minutes. The large bag suits families making sweets for the whole festive season.
How to use it
For a quick milk barfi, warm 50g of ghee and 200ml of milk in a non-stick pan, stir in 250g of milk powder and 100g of sugar and cook on a low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides. Add cardamom, spread in a greased tray, top with pistachios and cut once set. A few spoons also enrich kheer, masala chai and cake batters.
