Suryaa Raw White Rice Flour 1kg

Suryaa Raw White Rice Flour is finely milled white rice with no roasting, which keeps it pale and neutral and lets it absorb liquid slowly. That makes it the flour for batters: appam, instant dosa and neer dosa, as well as kozhukattai, pathiri and crisp coatings. It is a product of India, labelled gluten free, and imported by Niru (Europe) in Mitcham.

How to use it

For appam, whisk the flour with thick coconut milk, a little sugar, salt and a teaspoon of yeast or a spoon of cooked rice paste, and leave the batter to rise for a few hours. Swirl a ladleful around a hot appam pan so the edges go lacy and the centre stays soft. For pathiri, pour boiling salted water over the flour, knead to a smooth dough, roll thin and cook on a dry tawa. For kozhukattai, make the same hot water dough, shape it around a coconut and jaggery filling and steam for ten minutes. The pack reminds you to cook before eating.
