Pillsbury Chakki Fresh Atta is whole wheat flour with 0% maida, stone ground the chakki way from selected wheat. It gives rotis that are soft enough to tear with three fingers and keeps them that way for hours, which is why it has been a household name in India for over 25 years.
How to use it
Knead the atta with water at roughly 100g of flour to 70 to 75ml of water until the dough is soft and smooth, then rest it for a few minutes. Roll small balls into thin rounds, cook on a hot tawa and puff them over the flame. Spread with ghee and stack in a covered casserole to keep them warm and soft. It also makes good puris, parathas and methi thepla.
