TRS Italian Chopped Tomatoes 400g

Italian tomatoes, chopped and packed in their own juice: 60 per cent tomato pieces and 40 per cent juice, with a little citric acid and nothing else. The pieces are already small, so they break down in a few minutes of cooking and give a curry or a sauce its body without any chopping.

How to use it

Add a tin once the onions are golden and the spices have had their minute in the oil, then cook it down until the oil separates at the edges: that is the base for butter chicken, rajma, chana masala and most restaurant style curries. The same tin makes a quick pasta sauce with garlic and basil, a shakshuka, or a rasam when you are out of fresh tomatoes.
