TRS Boiled Kala Chana 400g

Kala chana is the small brown chickpea, with a darker skin and a nuttier, firmer bite than the pale kabuli kind. TRS cook it in salted water, so the hours of soaking and simmering are already done and 240g of drained chana is ready to use. Three ingredients only: kala chana, water and salt.

How to use it

Make a dry kala chana with onion, green chilli, amchur and chaat masala, the way it is served for Navratri with puri and halwa, or simmer it in a tomato gravy for a curry. It is good in a sundal with mustard seed, curry leaves and grated coconut, and cold in a sprout style salad with onion, tomato and lemon.
