Read the tin before you buy this one. It is a blend: 55% butteroil, the rest palm and rapeseed oil. That makes it a cooking fat with a ghee flavour rather than a pure cow ghee, and it is priced accordingly.
For a tadka, for frying onions down, for parathas and for anything where a whole kilo will be gone in a month, it does the job and does it cheaply. For a sweet, or for pooja, or anywhere the ghee is the point, buy a pure one instead: Amul or GRB are on the shelf.
Keeps at room temperature. Once open, use it within the month.
