KTC Spinach Puree 795g

KTC spinach puree 795g is cooked spinach, pureed and lightly salted, at 97.6 per cent spinach in the tin. It removes the longest part of making a palak paneer or a saag, the washing, wilting and blending of the leaves. Choose puree when the spinach is going to be blended anyway; choose the TRS chopped spinach when you want some leaf texture in a dal, and the TRS spinach leaf when the leaves should stay whole.

How to use it

• Palak paneer: fry cumin, garlic, ginger and onion, add the puree, simmer, then add fried paneer and a little cream
• Saag aloo, saag chicken or saag gosht, where the puree becomes the gravy
• Dal palak, stirred into a cooked dal with a tarka
• Heat gently for three to four minutes, do not boil, and drain before serving as a side
