KTC Rosecoco Beans 400g

KTC rosecoco beans 400g are speckled borlotti beans in salted water, 240g drained, already cooked so they need only warming through. They are creamier and smaller than a butter bean and hold together better than a kidney bean, which makes them the tin to choose for minestrone, a bean salad or an Italian style beans and greens. In a Punjabi kitchen they take a masala as well as rajma does, with a softer texture.

How to use it

• Minestrone and other Italian bean soups, added in the last ten minutes
• A rosecoco curry: fry onion, ginger, garlic and tomato, add the drained beans and simmer briefly
• Bean salads with red onion, lemon and coriander
• Mashed with garlic and oil for a spread or a side

• Ingredients: rosecoco (borlotti) beans (60 per cent), water, salt. May contain traces of gluten, soya, mustard and celery
• Suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets
• Net 400g, drained 240g. Drain and rinse; heat gently, do not boil
• Store cool and dry; once opened, refrigerate in a non-metallic container and eat within 2 days
