Flora Pure Sunflower Oil 1L
Flora sunflower oil 1 litre is the supermarket bottle of neutral, high smoke point cooking oil, sold here at grocer’s prices. It covers most of what a kitchen asks of one oil: frying, baking, roasting, dressing and marinating. Pick it if you want a widely recognised label; pick the East End 1L if price per litre is all that matters, since both do the same job in a curry.
About Flora
Flora sunflower oil is bottled in Liverpool by Edible Oils Ltd under licence, and is about as widely recognised as cooking oil gets in Britain; see everything from Flora.
How to use it
Use it for the onion and spice base of a curry, for deep frying pakora and samosa at 170 to 180C, and for stir frying in a kadai or wok. The pack lists dressings, marinades, stir frying, deep and shallow frying. Do not pour hot oil back into the bottle.
