With cocoa butter at 11%, it is a lean powder that mixes easily into batters, creams and milk. The pack names cream cakes, sponges, puddings and ice cream as its uses, and the 100g carton suits home baking where a few spoonfuls go into each bake. Whisk it into warm milk with sugar for a chocolate pudding or a quick hot cocoa, or fold it through whipped cream for a cake filling. A light dusting through a fine sieve finishes tiramisu, brownies and truffles. Because it is unsweetened, add sugar to taste. Turkish home bakers use it in islak kek, the soft wet chocolate cake soaked in cocoa syrup, and in profiterole sauce.

Good to know

Unsweetened, strongly de-oiled cocoa with 11% cocoa butter

Processed with alkali for a darker, milder cocoa

May contain traces of gluten, milk, hazelnut and almonds

Made in Turkey, keep in a cool, dry place

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1101/7433/9411/files/basak-kakao-cocoa-powder-100g-front.png?v=1792087450
